Job Description ***HIRING BONUS FOR TOOLMAKERS***
Job Title: Toolmaker- Automatic Power Press
***TOP PAY and IN HOUSE ADVANCEMENT WITH A GROWING COMPANY***
FT - 2nd shift -3:30am-12:00am
***$35.00/hr plus 10% shift incentive***
FT/PART TIME available - Flexible 2nd shift hours/days for part time..split shift..any hours..any days...you choose !!!

Job Summary:
To effectively support operations by maintaining and implementing systems and programs with regard to tooling and machine maintenance to support production schedules, continuous improvements to the quality, cost, and lead-time of goods and services provided to the customers of CSS.
Duties:
Primary Responsibility:
?? Set-up & Maintenance of Tooling including but not limited to First piece quality submission.
?? Follow process for documenting Tool History and Set-up information (reference Brown Card)
?? Alert Supervisor when there is a need for - Machine Maintenance & Tool Maintenance on Production tooling.
?? Fabricate tools, components fixtures and gauges as directed by area supervisor or technical lead.
?? Collaborate with New Tool Group on the introduction of new tools into production areas
?? Assist in the Standardization of Tooling Component Inventory.
?? Meet quoted/job estimate for Service-Set-up and Production Rate on all tooling.
?? Assists as requested in the development of Project/Tool estimates (quotes).
?? Assists as required department set up associates solving problems and issues with tool set up and tool production running.
?? Assists in development & implementation of Lean Projects.
?? Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
?? Actively participates on department SDWT's.
?? Assists company Managers as requested on all Metal Stamping and Four slide projects
?? Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards as well as good housekeeping standards.
?? Alerts Supervisor on updates and corrections needed on job travelers for operation changes/additions.
?? Participates in Lean Projects.
?? Performs other duties as may be required.
?? Attendance is an essential function of the job.
?? Willingness to work overtime to support the needs of the business.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years experience in the Set-up - Trouble shooting, Component Fabrication and Production of progressive, compound, four slide and secondary tooling.
2. CT approved (apprenticeship completed) journeyperson
3. Ability to read - understand blue prints and GDT as needed for production manufacturing.
4. Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in production environments. Progressive stamping background required
5. Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment.
6. Familiar with Medical and Aerospace (ISO13485 & AS9100) working environments.
7. An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering - Quality Engineering - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)
8. Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
9. Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.
10. Self starter with strong work ethic / production oriented.

Physical Requirements:
1. Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
2. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
3. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
4. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted

Job Summary:
To effectively develop and implement documentation, procedures, systems, programs and tools for the purpose of making continuous improvements to the quality, cost, and lead-time of goods and services provided to the customers of the company.
Duties:
Primary Responsibilities
?? Set-up- troubleshoot and maintenance of secondary tooling including but not limited to first piece quality submission.
?? Builds secondary tooling for limited production runs.
?? Build fixtures-gages and open
?? Alert management for machine maintenance.
?? Schedule and prepare internal tool maintenance.
?? Standardize machine component inventory. Tool holders-Cut-off components
?? 100% on time per confirmed production schedule.
?? Zero past due.
?? Assist in the development of project/tool estimates (quotes) and review project.
?? Assist in the development of Lean Projects.
?? Assist the Engineering and Tooling Managers for all metal stamping and fourslide programs.
?? Resolve issues on specific projects and articulate as directed by management.
?? Observe company processes and give recommendations for improvement.
?? Assist in recommendation of how and where to create cellular manufacturing.
?? Update/correct job travelers for operation changes/additions.
?? Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards as well as good housekeeping practices.
?? Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications:
1. High School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
2. Minimum of 5 years management experience.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in production/operation/maintenance of secondary tooling.
3. 4-6 years experience in manufacturing engineering or quality engineering. Knowledge of lean
manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.).
4. Ability to read-understand blue prints as needed for production manufacturing.
5. Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
