The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for selling our industry-leading Risk Management Center?? software platform to new accounts within a territory based on geography or industry sector. The position is also responsible for the business development and sales efforts for an assigned group of existing clients.

Position Description:

The Regional Business Development Manager will sell SaaS-based software products that provide channel partners and direct customers with the tools they need to manage environmental health and safety programs, employee training and development, industry and regulatory compliance processes, and other aspects of insurance risk management.

The successful candidate will bring to the position the knowledge and experience to successfully manage all aspects of the new account sales and client relationship development process, including the ability to lead an account support team. If you have lead-to-close solution-selling experience, particularly in loss control, insurance or financial services, or software, a will to win, and want a sales career with significant professional and financial upside, then please apply.

Experience:
Safety or software Sales

Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred

Success Criteria:

  • Strong record of prior outside sales success selling to mid-size businesses at the management, C- Level Executive or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years selling services to insurance related industry where interaction with owner/operator is a strong plus
  • Strong consultative selling skills and training
  • Top 10% of sales team performance in prior positions
  • High volume sales experience, with achievement of 10 to 12+ deals/mo., selling both in person and via WebEx
  • Absolute commitment to KPA's core values
  • Technologically savvy with strong computer skills using MS Office, Salesforce.com (or equivalent CRM) and webinars
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Extensive selling skills training from Solution Selling, Miller Heiman, Franklin Covey, SPIN Selling, or equivalent

Position Details:

  • Reports to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Base + commission, based upon qualifications. Commission paid on initial sale, Quarterly and Annual bonus available upon attainment of sales goals
  • $140,000 - OTE
  • The territory assignment and prospect assignment is completed by the VP of Sales to change as the needs of the business dictate to be fair to all Account Executives, as well as to maximize sales for the Company
  • Requires up to 50% travel
  • Position is based out of home office in assigned region or local KPA office
