GENERAL FUNCTION

The neXtore Purchasing Manager is responsible for neXtore procurement processes across North America. This role assists in developing corporate purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures; manages department purchasing processes and projects to ensure compliance with corporate financial goals and targets; drives self and group to produce cost savings and/or process improvements; and ensures that all materials needed are shipped on time and on budget while maximizing value and quality for each store opening.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage schedules/delivery times ensuring successful and timely delivery of materials

* Provide budget vs actual cost comparison

* Propose and promote savings initiatives

* Manage suppliers and supplier performances, report results and meet client requirements

* Participate in client meetings with the account managers (weekly)

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and key suppliers for assigned categories

* Initiate, revise and maintain purchase orders with Purchasing Department

* Manage ongoing requests from the project managers

* Partner with design, planning and procurement sourcing to maintain correct standard specifications

* Maintain combined order forms updates including vendors and pricing

* Manage inventories and bulk buys

* Partner with Finance Department for cost reconciliation

* Manage invoice approvals via LucyStar

* Submit new vendor & SAP articles through Remedy

* Oversee COF dates on store opening report

* Communicate with external vendors & consultants

* Communicate with internal stakeholders such as neXtore leadership team, project managers, designers, Luxottica brands, and Finance and Legal departments

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* 4 year college degree in purchasing, business or applicable technical degree

* 5+ years procurement experience

* Demonstrated professionalism in communicating with others at all levels

* Exhibit information sharing and critical documentation retention

* Foster cross-functional and partnering relationships through commitment, credibility, active participation, and communication facilitation

* Knowledge of general purchasing principals and procedures, procurement processes, business principles, organizations, and accounting & finance

* Negotiation, analytics, and leadership skills

* Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills

* Efficient in MS Excel, MS Word and various purchasing software

* Experience in procurement for construction projects
